Call for participants - EU*Ro Media, 2017 edition

The Jean Monnet Module EU*Ro Media, European Standards, Romanian Application: The Media Roadmap for Romania's EU Council Presidency provides specific training in the field of European Affairs for young professionals in the media, opinion leaders and opinion makers in order to improve their expertise and performance in the public sphere in the context of analysing the preparation and execution of the Romanian EU Council Presidency in the first half of 2019.

The project's host institution, the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, is launching a call for participants in the intensive summer courses scheduled within the Jean Monnet Module EU*Ro Media. DRIIE-SNSPA, through the teaching staff involved in the project, offers the opportunity to the interested people to have an educational experience in a high-quality learning environment, where they can combine the knowledge gained previously with in-depth information about European Affairs, in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary manner, in accordance with the needs of the target group.

Target group

Young professionals from the media, opinion leaders and makers, especially those who have not previously received training in topics related to the European Union, but who are frequently in contact with subjects related to the supranational level in their work as journalists.

The organizing institution is looking for 20 people interested in enriching their professional expertise by introducing a thorough insight on the functioning of the European Union and its impact on the Member States' citizens with a view to broaden and strengthen the social and media coverage of European issues in the Romanian public space.

Schedule and location of the courses

June 2017. Week 12 – 17 June for in-class teaching hours; week 19 – 24 June for online teaching hours (tbc).

Participation requirements

People interested in attending the intensive summer courses within the Jean Monnet Module EU*Ro Media are asked to submit, no later than April 30th, 2017, a CV at The CV must prove the eligibility for the project's target group.
